Western Michigan forward Zach Nehring has been named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Rookie of the Month for his outstanding performance in October. The Minot, N.D. native scored five points in the month, with three goals and two assists, finishing with a +4 rating. Nehring’s highlight was a multi-goal, multi-point game against Bowling Green, leading to him being named NCHC Rookie of the Week. He currently leads the team in points and is second in goals while also demonstrating defensive skill by blocking three shots. The Broncos will continue their season on November 8 against Omaha in their NCHC opener at 8 PM.
