Press Release: 198 Employers Recognized as Michigan’s Top Workplaces for 2024
Michigan has unveiled its list of nearly 200 employers deemed the state’s Top Workplaces for 2024, highlighting organizations dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture. This annual program, now in its 17th year, is open to any company with 50 or more employees based in Michigan. The selection process involves a comprehensive workplace culture survey executed by the Detroit Free Press in collaboration with Energage, a research partner responsible for conducting surveys across 65 markets nationwide.
This year, 6,870 companies were invited to participate, with 276 organizations completing the survey. A remarkable 88,570 employees weighed in, resulting in a robust response rate of 58.1%. The participating companies were categorized based on their size: small (50-149 employees), medium (150-499 employees), and large (500 or more employees). Ultimately, 198 companies were honored with the Top Workplaces designation.
Among the noteworthy highlights, 32 companies made their debut in the program, including beloved local brands such as Buddy’s Pizza and Serra Ford Buick GMC Rochester Hills. Additionally, the program recognized exceptional leadership with awards presented to April Clobes of MSU Federal Credit Union (large category), Todd Sachse of Sachse Construction (medium category), and Richard James of Financial Services of America (small category).
