Popular reality show Bigg Boss in India has always been a platform that garners a lot of attention for its drama as well as its ratings. Despite being a successful launch pad for many celebrities, not every famous person is keen on joining the show in exchange for fame and money. Comedian Kunal Kamra recently made headlines by turning down an offer to be on the show hosted by Salman Khan.
Kamra shared a screenshot of his conversation with a casting director, where he jokingly said he would rather check into a mental hospital than participate in Bigg Boss. He is not the only celebrity to reject the show; Rajesh Khanna, Poonam Pandey, Faissal Khan, and Yo Yo Honey Singh have all declined offers for various reasons.
Rajesh Khanna was reportedly offered ₹3.5 crore per episode of Bigg Boss, but he refused the offer stating that the show was unsuitable for his stature. Poonam Pandey declined an offer of ₹2 crore to join Bigg Boss Season 5 due to prior work commitments. Faissal Khan rejected an offer to be on Bigg Boss 16 because he did not want to be involved in the mental games and conflicts that are a part of the show.
Yo Yo Honey Singh also turned down an offer to participate in Bigg Boss 6, with reports suggesting that the offered money was insufficient. While Bigg Boss remains a popular show in India, it seems that not all celebrities are willing to trade their privacy for the opportunity to be on the reality program.
