McLaren Northern Michigan, part of McLaren Health Care, has opened a new urgent care facility in Petoskey, Michigan, US, to enhance healthcare accessibility in the community. Located at 1890 US-131, the new facility is an extension of the existing primary care clinic. The urgent care clinic is equipped with seven treatment rooms, a procedure room, and on-site X-ray imaging services, offering care for non-life-threatening conditions such as viral illnesses, minor cuts, and simple fractures. Operating hours are from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday. McLaren Northern Michigan president and CEO Gar Atchison expressed excitement over the expansion, highlighting the convenience it will provide for patients. McLaren Health Care executive vice-president Chad Grant emphasized the commitment to improving patient care and strengthening connections to healthcare services. This development follows McLaren Health Care’s acquisition of Park Medical Centers in November.
