University of Michigan Athletics has announced a new flagship radio home for the Wolverines, with 94.7 WCSX-FM set to broadcast all football, men’s basketball, and ice hockey games. The partnership with Beasley Media Group Detroit will officially begin with the 2025 football season, providing fans with live coverage on a regional FM signal.
In addition to game broadcasts, WCSX-FM will also air coaches’ shows, Athletics features, and exclusive interviews. Jon Jansen and Doug Karsch, current hosts of the football radio broadcast on 97.1, will continue in their roles as the voices of the Wolverines.
Jennifer Cadicamo, Vice President and General Manager of Michigan Sports Properties, expressed excitement over the new partnership, stating that Michigan fans in the Detroit market will now have access to live coverage of their favorite teams on 94.7 WCSX-FM. The agreement marks a new era for Michigan Athletics in radio broadcasting, providing fans with a dedicated platform to follow their teams.
The move to 94.7 WCSX-FM will ensure that Michigan fans can listen to all the action on a regional FM signal, with select women’s basketball games airing on 105.1 The Bounce. The strong partnership between University of Michigan Athletics, Learfield’s Michigan Sports Properties, and Beasley Media Group Detroit aims to enhance the fan experience and bring Wolverines coverage to a broader audience.
