Michigan State University senior, Tyler Gibbs, is set to graduate in May 2025 with a major in advertising management and a minor in public relations. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Gibbs plans to pursue professional opportunities in New York after spending the summer in upstate New York exploring potential career paths in the city.
Gibbs, who grew up surrounded by the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State, always knew he was destined to be a Spartan. His love for MSU’s sports culture, especially football and basketball, drew him to the university. Some of his favorite memories include attending the 2021 MSU vs. UM football game and witnessing the basketball team’s exciting runs in March Madness.
One of the highlights of Gibbs’ time at MSU was studying abroad in Rome and Cannes, where he attended the Cannes Lions Festival and had the opportunity to network with industry leaders, attend seminars, and even meet NBA legend Carmelo Anthony. These experiences provided him with a unique perspective and valuable career advice.
Reflecting on his time at MSU, Gibbs describes his journey as nothing short of incredible, filled with opportunities, friendships, and unforgettable memories. As he prepares to graduate and enter the professional world, Gibbs is grateful for the experiences and connections he has made at Michigan State University.
