Man from Michigan accused of killing fiancée in deadly shooting

The FBI is now involved in the investigation of the London Thomas case, a Highland Township, Michigan man who is facing charges for the shooting death of his fiancée, Rachel Renee Wooten. Michael Devon Webb, 21, has been charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says Webb fatally shot Wooten in their home on April 15, 2025. Despite Webb’s claim that the shooting was accidental while cleaning his gun, evidence does not support this narrative.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard commended his team for uncovering the truth in the case and holding Webb accountable. If convicted, Webb faces life in prison without parole for the murder charge. The tragic incident has shocked the community, with many seeking justice for Wooten’s untimely death.
