Ohio State Wins Doubleheader Against Michigan with Walk-Off Home Run in Second Game

Ohio State’s softball team thrilled fans with a doubleheader sweep over Michigan, coming from behind in both games to secure victories by scores of 4-3 and 7-4. In the first game, Skylar Limon was the hero with a go-ahead home run and game-saving catch in center field. The second game saw a dramatic walk-off three-run home run by Hadley Parisien in the bottom of the seventh.

Michigan took an early lead in both games, but Ohio State fought back with a flurry of home runs, including a record-breaking blast by Jasmyn Burns. Limon, Kaitlyn Farley, and Burns combined to drive in seven of Ohio State’s 10 runs on Friday.

The victories extended Ohio State’s winning streak over Michigan at Buckeye Field to four games. Limon, Farley, and Burns played key roles in the wins, with Limon hitting two home runs, Farley adding two of her own, and Burns setting a new single-season program record with 21 home runs and closing in on the RBI record.

Pitcher Lorin Boutte earned the win in the first game, bringing her record to 16-7 on the season. In the second game, the walk-off hero Parisien hit her 16th home run of the year.

The sellout crowds at Buckeye Field were treated to an exciting day of softball as Ohio State continues to build momentum in the Big Ten conference. With the team’s offensive firepower and clutch performances, they will be a force to be reckoned with as they head towards postseason play.
