The University of Michigan men’s track and field team wrapped up competition at the Tom Jones Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. on Saturday. Amit Rutman narrowly missed his personal best in the 100-meter dash, finishing 29th. Lawrence Gilliam, Jack Juds, and Jacob Koerner had solid performances in the 400-meter dash, with Juds setting a new personal best. Eli Winter impressed with a sixth-place finish in the discus throw and fourth in the hammer throw invite section. Aiden Felty and Zane Forist also performed well in the shot put, finishing sixth and eighth, respectively. Tianhao Wei emerged victorious in the triple jump.
The team will now shift its focus to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia from April 24-26. The Wolverines will continue their outdoor track and field season as they look to build on their recent successes and continue to perform well at upcoming meets.
