Transit police in Boston are investigating a shooting on a subway platform at Harvard University that occurred on Sunday. The school issued a shelter-in-place order for students and staff while authorities searched for the suspect. The suspect, armed with a gun, fired four to five rounds at a targeted individual on the southbound platform at the Harvard Square station before fleeing. There is no evidence that anyone was injured. Police were alerted to the incident around 2:15 p.m., and a message was sent to the Harvard community to shelter in place until further notice.
