Michigan Tech soccer player Kiersen Korienek has been selected to represent the U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team at the Concacaf W Futsal Championship in Guatemala City. The tournament will take place from April 28 to May 4, and Korienek will compete alongside her teammates in this prestigious event.
Korienek, who plays as a Pivo (Target/Forward), is one of the newest members of the 14-player roster, having impressed during the team’s final training camp and selection process. She expressed her gratitude at being chosen to represent her country, highlighting the honor and privilege it is to play at such a high level with a talented group of women.
With previous experience playing for the United States Youth Futsal U16 National Team, Korienek has proven herself as a skilled and accomplished player. As a member of the U.S. Futsal WNT, she has already made significant contributions on the field and is looking forward to wearing the national team crest during the upcoming championship.
The U.S. Futsal WNT was officially launched in 2022 and has been preparing for the Concacaf Women’s Futsal Championship through a series of training camps and friendly matches.
