Now, having undergone rigorous treatment that included chemotherapy and radiation, Farrer stands hopeful, free of any detectable cancer. "Soca and carnival have kept me strong,” she expressed, highlighting the importance of mental health in her journey.
During Jamaica Carnival, Farrer was spotted joyfully waving an "Early detection saves lives" flag while reveling with the Gen XS band. She praised the warm reception she received from the Jamaican community and emphasized the importance of open conversations about health issues. "When I got cancer, I couldn’t find any woman like me to identify with. That’s why I’m here—to help young carnival lovers and spark discussions around early detection,” she stated.

As the festivities continue, she rated Jamaica Carnival a perfect ten, noting that experiences like J’ourvet have been transformative. “It’s important for communities to support each other and ensure early detection,” she added.
