Ottawa County Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Locating Missing Woman and Children
OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is urgently asking for public help in locating 50-year-old Michelle Olszewski and her three children, ages 14, 10, and 8. The incident began on Wednesday, April 30, when Olszewski removed her children from school. She is also accompanied by a medium-sized golden brown Shiba Inu named Lambchop.
According to a recent press release from the sheriff’s office, Olszewski’s rental car and personal belongings were discovered at a hotel in Indiana, but neither she nor her children have been seen since Thursday, May 1. Investigators from Ottawa County are collaborating with the Mishawaka Police Department in their search efforts.
Police officials have noted that Olszewski has a history of mental illness, leading them to believe she may be experiencing instability at this time. This concern has heightened the urgency of the situation, prompting authorities to reach out to the community for information.
Anyone who may have seen Olszewski or has any information regarding her whereabouts or those of her children is encouraged to contact Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT (745368) or Ottawa County Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911. Authorities are keen to ensure the safe return of Olszewski and her children, and any assistance from the public could prove vital in this ongoing search.
The sheriff’s office continues to work diligently to locate the family and is grateful for any leads that may help in bringing them home safely.
