Eastern Michigan Women’s Golf Team Set for National Golf Invitational
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team has accepted an invitation to participate in the Women’s National Golf Invitational, scheduled for May 9-11 at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa, Arizona. This tournament, hosted in collaboration with Golfweek, features 10 collegiate teams that did not qualify for the upcoming NCAA Regionals.
Ranked No. 125 as of April 30 in the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings, the Eagles join fellow Mid-American Conference (MAC) team, Bowling Green State University, which holds a ranking of No. 164. The competitive field comprises notable programs, including the University of North Texas (#71), University of North Carolina Wilmington (#84), Mercer University (#88), and defending champion Rutgers University (#100), among others.
