New Albany Welcomes 150-Home Subdivision for Seniors
As Central Ohio experiences continuous growth, a new housing development geared towards older adults is taking shape in New Albany. The Courtyards at Haines Creek, a 150-home subdivision by Epcon Communities, is being constructed on a nearly 64-acre site located at the northwest corner of Central College Road and Jug Street Road NW, just inside the Franklin County line. Engineering work is already underway, and the development is expected to open this fall, according to a statement from New Albany spokesperson Josh Poland.
The Courtyards at Haines Creek is specifically designed for residents aged 55 and older, offering ranch-style homes that feature first-floor owner suites, open floor plans flooded with natural light, and private courtyards. The development promises a low-maintenance lifestyle, with lawn care fully managed for residents.
Amenities will enhance the living experience, including a clubhouse, fitness center, pool, and recreational facilities like pickleball and bocce courts, as well as a community garden. While pricing details have not yet been released, the subdivision aims to provide comfortable and accessible living for senior residents.
Epcon Communities has a strong presence in the area, with similar developments such as The Courtyards at New Albany and The Courtyards at Morse Circle already built nearby. The company is also finalizing another courtyard community at Beulah Park in Grove City and expanding into other central Ohio towns, including Dublin and Powell.
