Lapeer County Man Wins $300,000 Jackpot Playing Michigan Lottery
A lucky Lapeer County resident, who prefers to remain anonymous, is celebrating a life-changing win after scoring a $300,000 jackpot with the Michigan Lottery’s 20X Wild Time instant game. The 58-year-old ticket buyer purchased his winning ticket at the Village Station in Columbiaville, Michigan.
The man, an avid player of the 20X Wild Time game, revealed he enjoys scanning non-winning tickets for a second chance. After purchasing a few tickets and scratching them late at night, he initially thought he was seeing things when he uncovered the huge prize. To confirm his excitement, he handed the ticket to his wife to scan through the Lottery app. When the screen displayed $300,000, he couldn’t contain his joy, jumping up and shouting in disbelief.
“This win is life-changing and will allow us to live debt-free,” he expressed, revealing plans to take a trip and alleviate financial burdens.
Since its launch in April 2024, the 20X Wild Time game has seen players collect over $35 million in winnings. Each $5 ticket offers a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to the $300,000 jackpot, and according to the Michigan Lottery, more than $10 million in prizes remain available, including 12 additional $2,500 prizes.
