Motorcycle Crash in Spring Lake Leaves Two Seriously Injured
SPRING LAKE, MI – A serious traffic incident occurred on Friday, June 13, at approximately 12:29 p.m. when a car and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of West Savage and School streets in Spring Lake.
The crash involved a 56-year-old man from Grand Haven driving eastbound in a 2020 Jaguar, who was making a turn onto School Street when he struck a motorcycle traveling westbound. Fortunately, the Jaguar driver emerged from the accident without any injuries. However, the motorcycle riders, a 70-year-old man and his 67-year-old passenger, both from Fremont, sustained serious injuries. They were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and Spring Lake rescue units were quick to respond to the scene. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and preliminary reports indicate that the motorcycle riders were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
