Chef Anne Burrell Passes Away at 55
Anne Burrell, the celebrated chef and beloved Food Network host, tragically passed away Tuesday morning at her Brooklyn home, her family confirmed. She was 55 years old. In a heartfelt statement, her family remarked, "Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered." Burrell’s culinary journey began in 2005 as a sous chef on Iron Chef America, paving the way for her own series, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, which aired for nine seasons from 2008 to 2012. She became a household name as the longtime host of Worst Cooks in America, where she mentored amateur chefs in their culinary endeavors. Her television repertoire expanded to include shows like Chef Wanted, Chopped, Food Network Star, and more recently, House of Knives.
